Bambum, offering a variety of products made from bamboo material to consumers, occupies an office space of 755 m2 located in Hadımköy, Istanbul.
Due to insufficient daylight, the fundamental architectural design concept was centered around ‘permeability.’
Users are greeted by linear lighting that initiates at the reception desk and seamlessly extends throughout the corridor. Openly designed spaces along the pathway were accentuated with flexible products integrated into the floor.
General illumination was achieved using profile products with opal diffusers. These were applied in various geometries such as linear, circular, and rectangular, depending on the ceiling type and the lighting requirements of specific areas. General lighting was complemented by spot products discreetly placed in surface-mounted, recessed, pendant, and honeycomb ceilings.
Bambum, a designer of environmentally friendly and natural products catering to consumer needs, allowed us to unite natural bamboo material with light. This was accomplished through the handrails, showcases, and decorative architectural elements designed during the project process.
