Tab Gıda, which houses brands like Burger King, Popeyes, Arby’s, and Subway, has renovated the cafeteria floor at its headquarters in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. The lighting design was conceived with the idea of hierarchically segmenting the spaces, aiming to create an atmosphere where users can move comfortably and find their way with ease.
For general lighting, magnet track systems were chosen to offer a modern and functional solution. The flexibility of this system allowed for lighting applications tailored to the different areas and table arrangements within the space. In the food service and tray return areas, linear opal diffuser products integrated into the tracks provided uniform lighting, prioritizing user safety. The 8 and 10 person tables were illuminated with low-glare (UGR) spots, creating a bright and comfortable environment. For the two-person tables, cylindrical spotlights hanging from the track system provided more focused and intimate lighting.
In the corridors, spotlights within L-shaped magnet tracks created soft gradient transitions, establishing clear flow and focal points within the space.
The aesthetic aspect of the space was enhanced with opal flexible tube lighting and circular globe glass pendants of varying diameters in the central area. Mini wall sconces in areas designed for quiet conversations, along with the ‘Eat Love People’ and ‘Eat Well Good’ glass neon signs, added dynamism to the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
This project stands out as a comprehensive work that not only offers functional lighting solutions but also prioritizes the user experience.
